How the Process Works

Getting your desired marine fish or coral through Dirty Little Reefers is a straightforward and customer-focused experience. Here’s the simple, step-by-step process to help you get exactly what you’re looking for:

Step 1: Initial Contact on WhatsApp

Send us a message on WhatsApp using this format:

• Budget (if applicable):

This information helps us understand precisely what you're after, so we can start the search quickly.

Step 2: Confirm Your Search

Once we receive your request, we’ll respond promptly and confirm that you’re ready to proceed with the search. This confirmation helps us ensure we're aligned on expectations. At this stage, we request a small non-refundable deposit of £10 (or €12) to begin the search. This deposit will be deducted from your final price if you complete the purchase, and it is only refunded if we are unable to source your requested item. 

Step 3: We Source Your Marine Life

Our team then connects with the Dirty Little Suppliers network to locate the specific fish or coral you want, along with possible variations. We’ll send you multiple options to choose from, giving you flexibility and choice. We will aim to locate it in your country however if we cannot we will look outside of your country.

Step 4: Transparent Pricing

Once you select your preferred options, we’ll provide the exact pricing, including any shipping costs. Because shipments may come from different countries, shipping fees will be adjusted accordingly.

Step 5: Fixed Pricing & Shipping Flexibility

Prices are fixed – there’s no negotiation. Our team dedicates time and resources to sourcing your requested fish and corals, and the prices reflect the value of this service. However, to make shipping more cost-effective, you may add additional items from the same facility.

Please note:

• If you want additional items from the same facility, please let us know specific categories or species of interest. (We cannot provide a full facility inventory on request 
• Shipping cannot be delayed beyond 14 days from purchase unless the item is quarantined upon arrival in Europe or the UK, or in special circumstances reviewed on a case by case basis)

Step 6: Invoice Issuance

Once the selections are finalized, we’ll issue an invoice detailing all items and costs.

Step 7: Payment and Shipping Preparation

Once payment is confirmed, Dirty Little Reefers will instruct the facility to prepare and send your order. To maintain privacy, the facility name remains undisclosed.

Step 8: Tracking Information Provided

You’ll receive a tracking number to monitor the journey of your marine life, ensuring you’re informed of every step.

Step 9: Delivery Confirmation

When your items arrive, please confirm the delivery condition and, if applicable, that the "What You See Is What You Get" (WYSIWYG) items are accurate. Adherence to our DOA (Dead on Arrival) policy is essential here.

Step 10: Final Payment to Facilities

Once you confirm that everything has arrived as expected, Dirty Little Reefers will complete the payment to the sourcing facilities, finalizing the transaction.
